Specifications include, but are not limited to: Separate sealed bids for the purchase of a commercial, side loading, sanitation truck 27 cubic yard compactor body for right side loading will be received by the City of Rexburg, Idaho. The intention of the specifications is to describe the cab and chassis in sufficient detail to secure bids on comparable units. Bids will be considered only from suppliers offering parts and repair facilities within a reasonable distance from Rexburg. The city will accept proposals from those manufacturers who are regularly engaged in the fabrication of this type of equipment. The manufacturer’s technical specifications of the unit proposed must accompany the bid. Proposal to be submitted on forms furnished. This chassis will be provided to the manufacturer of the refuse collection body which will be determined at a later bid. The chassis manufacturer is to coordinate with the body manufacturer for any required interface of hydraulic, electrical systems, controls, etc. for a completed refuse collection truck.
