Specifications include, but are not limited to: One of the GWB’s strategic priorities is to advance a career pathway strategy to prepare youth and adults for successful futures, and Work-Based Learning is an essential component of that work. The intermediary was conceptualized in collaboration with stakeholders and the other participating agencies in PrepareRI, including the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE), the Office of the Postsecondary Education Commissioner (OPC), and Commerce Corporation. The goal is to bring on additional capacity to help the state agencies manage the Work-Based Learning Navigator website, provide employer recruitment, relationship management, and project management for key PrepareRI programs, to provide direct service to Lead Education Agencies (LEA’s) as they work to implement high quality WBL, and to provide some administrative support and capacity to the PrepareRI agencies. This RFP is part of the broader interagency PrepareRI initiative, with the goal of ensuring all Rhode Island students are college and career ready.
