Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Topeka is soliciting bids for the replacement and installation of six primary sludge pumps in Pump House II at the Oakland Wastewater Treatment Plant (OWWTP) to support operations of the Water Pollution Control Division of Utilities. 1. Replace 6 existing progressive cavity pumps with rotary lobe style pump. a. Remove existing pumps i. Removal will occur in 2 phases to allow for continuous operations of Primary Clarifier ii. Removal of existing pumps will require the contractor to place removed pumps and materials outside of the facility for the City to salvage and dispose of b. Install 6 new pumps in 2 phases to allow for continuous operations of Primary Clarifier. i. Installation shall include appropriate piping, which shall include sample ports on the suction side of pump c. The following pressure sensors shall be included with pumps: i. Suction side to prevent pump from operating if there is no material to pump ii. Discharge side to shut down pump in the event of deadhead iii. A dual pressure switch on the discharge side that can be used by itself without any sensor or switch on the suction side. 2. Performance Data a. 100 GPM at 50 PSI b. Motor enclosure will be weather proof such as, NEMA 4X, designed to withstand direct hose wash down 3. Rotor coating: Buna-N 4. Flange size: 6” (suction and discharge) 5. Spare parts to include: a. 2 sets of lobes, seals, and wear plates b. Lope puller ; Delivery Date: a. Delivery shall occur on or before May 31, 2023. Bidders must enter their estimated delivery date of the pumps with their bid line response. b. Installation shall be completed within 4 weeks of pump delivery.
