Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Kansas Employee Health Plan (SEHP) seeks to purchase a pharmacy transparency tool for members enrolled in the plan. The purpose of this RFP is to obtain tools designed to provide, “consumers needed information on both price (particularly a consumer’s expected out-of-pocket contribution) and quality (especially outcomes measures and other measures of safety, effectiveness, timeliness, efficiency, and equity), along with the right incentives to seek higher-value care.”1 The SEHP currently offers a standalone pharmacy transparency tool through Rx Savings Solutions and each of the medical vendors (Aetna and BCBS of Kansas) offers their own medical transparency tool for their members. The SEHP intends to leave the medical transparency tools in place with the current medical plan ASO vendors. The SEHP is interested in bids on the pharmacy transparency tools and other innovative transparency options like dental tools the vendors may offer. Please list the items separately in the Cost Proposal Exhibit 2. By including any optional tools in your cost proposal, the SEHP has the option in the future to select to implement those services. It is the SEHP’s desire to partner with transparency vendors that offer innovative tools and are flexible in developing services for our employees.
