Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Roof Repair Services. furnish all transportation, supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, services, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide roof repairs; The work schedule shall be performed during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless permission is granted otherwise by the CHP on-site contact. Contractor shall check-in and check-out with the CHP on-site contact person or designee each day. A. Remove and replace deteriorating gutter, down spouts, and approximately 3’ of damaged roofing around the perimeter of the building. B. Expose the plywood deck and replace plywood where dry rot is present. This is to include fascia, shiplap, rafters, lookouts, freeze blocks, slats, etc. All woodwork is to be primed and painted. C. Clean entire roof of debris, clean out all gutters and downspouts and ensure all mold growth is properly removed. D. Once flat roof is cleaned, apply one layer of Perma-Dri or equal rubber roof patch to the entire flat roof area that was repaired feathering into existing roofing material. E. Contractor is solely responsible for all measurements. F. Ensure roof slope to drains by building up roof deck if applicable. G. Properly reinforce all internal drains, as needed, to promote proper slope and drainage. H. Copings, counter flashing, and other metal work shall be fastened to resist wind uplift and prevent buckling. Metal should be sealed to prevent moisture infiltration. I. Product delivery, storage, and handling: deliver materials to the job site in original, unopened containers, with the manufacturer's name, brand name and installation instructions.
