Specifications include, but are not limited to: DocAve is an on-prem software solution the SharePoint team uses for complete control over backup and recovery options, as well as other administrative features. The software allows the team to perform: full and incremental backup options, retrieval or restore objects and configurations at a granular level, restoration of content and configurations in-place or out-of-place, ability to rebuild or replicate a site collection or farm, and the ability to move or reorganize content within a farm or across farms (non-prod environments). The license model is for functionality and support. When licenses expire, this functionality stops altogether. The following are known risks in the event of license expiration and loss of software functionality: The SharePoint team loses control and ability for: restoration or recovery of data backed-up prior to expiration, content backups for any of the SharePoint farms (Unable to respond to requests for content or configuration recovery), configuration database backups for any of the SharePoint farms (Unable to rebuild SharePoint environments in the event of a major failure; inability to revert if a product update creates a failure or corruption), moving and reorganizing content (Unable to respond to requests for changing hierarchy, copying content (sites, lists, libraries) to non-prod environments or vice-versa) Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
