Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide professional design services to renovate detention, treatment, and administrative areas. Two additions to the existing building will provide for a vehicle sally port and additional treatment areas. Services are anticipated to include Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Geotechnical Engineering, Survey, Cost Estimating, and Environmental Services. Activities include project scoping, geotechnical exploration, environmental review and documentation, survey, design, assistance during bidding and construction, and other design-related services deemed necessary. The existing facility of approximately 31,140 square feet of interior space will be remodeled, including structural upgrades and/or reconfigurations. Additionally, two additions will increase the square footage by approximately 6450 square feet to accommodate new treatment space and a vehicle sally port. Exterior improvements include grading, landscaping, and other scope indicted in the proposed scoping documents. Exterior improvements may include the reconfiguration of the existing fire lane to accommodate additions. The construction phase procurement method is anticipated to be CMGC, with the Contractor to be brought into the design process at approximately the 35% phase. The facility will be staffed, occupied and functional during all phases of construction.
