Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the proper containment, handling, loading, transportation, testing, treatment and disposal of waste materials and these will be included in the bid pricing. INDOT requires a contractor to transport, test, treat, and dispose of the following items in containers provided by the successful contractor, from various locations around Indiana: residual paint materials, spent solvents, residual materials from laboratory testing of highway construction and maintenance products, spent lapping oil and other hazardous materials, in accordance with all applicable regulations. In addition, INDOT will require the contractor to remove and dispose of (or recycle) various shop wastes (generally of a non-hazardous nature).
