Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of New Hampshire has agency needs perform Laboratory Analytical Servicesas necessary to identify and quantify contaminants in drinking water, groundwater,surface water, wastewater, and soil samples for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFAS). Analysis shall be by US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved oraccepted methods, or other methods as specified/authorized by the New HampshireDepartment of Environmental Services (NHDES).Due the prevalence of per and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the environment,and an upcoming need for public drinking water systems to periodically sample for PFAS,general statewide laboratory contract(s) that are available to municipalities and otherpolitical subdivisions are needed. Additionally, the Departments of EnvironmentalServices (DES) and Transportation (DOT) will have a need for soil sampling and increasedaqueous sampling beyond the scope of current department specific contracts.
