Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor shall repair and/or service California Highway Patrol (CHP) breast badges on an as-needed basis and according to the following specifications. Badge Repair(s) and Service(s) will include the following: 1) Rank ribbon replacement (contractor supplied ribbon), in the following ranks: Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant, Officer, and Traffic Officer 2) “Honorably Retired” ribbon placement (contractor supplied ribbon) 3) “In Memoriam” ribbon placement (contractor supplied ribbon) 4) Joint/catch/pin repair and/or replacement 5) Great Seal of California repair and/or replacement 6) Badge reshaping 7) Badge refinishing 8) Badge re-enameling B. Badges sent to the contractor for repair are of significant importance to CHP. Therefore, Contractor shall have knowledge, at all times, of the location of the Stateowned property while it is in their custody. If any portion of the State-owned property is misplaced, stolen, lost, or destroyed while in the custody of the repair facility, the contractor agrees to replace said item as acceptable to CHP, at the current market replacement value. No depreciation will be allowed. Additionally, at CHP’s sole discretion, Contractor agrees to allow CHP, or its designee(s), full access to their facilities and/or records as deemed necessary by CHP to investigate the loss/destruction of State-owned property. C. Contractor shall store the CHP badges in a secure enclosed structure (defined as four solid walls covered by a solid roof) at the address identified as the place of business by the Contractor. Storage of CHP equipment at an alternate location, without prior written approval from CHP, is unacceptable and may result in the immediate termination of the contract. D. Should the Contractor discover that a CHP badge has been misplaced, stolen, lost, or destroyed; the contractor must immediately report it to the CHP Contract Coordinator. E.
