Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor will need to perform any and all NFPA, State, and Local requirements for inspection and testing to ensure the Corporation buildings fire alarm and suppression systems are in compliance. FIRE ALARM AND DETECTION SPECIFICATIONS FOR TESTING AND INSPECTION: Each one of the above buildings is protected by a fire alarm system with its own individual master box. The following items are to be performed by the Contractor as part of this contract. 1) Respondent must be licensed to perform testing, inspection and diagnostic tests of the manufactured fire alarm and detection systems identified quarterly. One hundred percent (100%) of all devices must be inspected annually, with whatever percentage is necessary for NFPA compliance for the quarterly and semi-annual system inspection. 2) To minimize false alarms, and in accordance with NFPA, all accessible, system-connected smoke detectors to be externally and internally cleaned at least once every twelve (12) month period, per RHODE ISLAND FIRE SAFETY CODE SECTION 7, Chapter 13.8.10.9. Devices must be dismantled to expose the smoke chamber (where applicable) and cleaned using soft cloth, lint brush, or other suitable methods. Forced air cleaning without dismantling the unit is not acceptable. Tests will be scheduled in advance at the convenience of the Corporation. 3) All fire alarm panels shall be tested a minimum of once per quarter. Panels must be left clear of trouble indications upon completion of testing, unless notification of, then approval of the Corporation is received.
