Specifications include, but are not limited to: The following specifications shall apply to purchases of turnkey ABOVEGROUND FUEL STORAGE TANKS for the Kansas Department of Transportation. KDOT reserves the right to waive minor technicalities under this specification. Federal and State laws supersede any conflicting part of this specification. All parts and materials utilized on the unit shall be new and unused. The bidder agrees to guarantee the design, material, and workmanship of the unit and components bid, according to the standard factory warranty, or for one year from date of acceptance, whichever is greater. A copy of the warranty shall accompany the bid. Warranty coverage shall include costs of transporting the unit to and from the dealer's shop, when outside a 150 mile radius of the delivery point. . Unit shall be a horizontal tank with 1000, 2000, or 3000, or 4000 gallon capacity. Approval drawings shall be required before fabrication of the unit may begin. Structural shapes and sheet material shall be ASTM A-36, minimum. The unit provided shall be U.L. 142 approved and meet all applicable EPA requirements. Seven, 4" NPT openings in top of primary tank and emergency vent opening(s) as required by U.L. 142. Tank charts shall be delivered with each tank. The unit shall be non-roll or skid mounted. Tanks and containment shall include lifting lugs to facilitate handling without disassembling unit. Unit shall accept installation of Veeder-Root type tank monitor. Vendor shall provide equipment and personnel to set tank at final delivery site
