Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide and perform trunk injections of the systemic insecticide emamectin benzoate to 275 Ash trees, totaling 4299 diameter inches, within the City of Manchester (details listed below) in the quantities necessary to provide maximum protection for at least 2 years against Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). 1.1.2. The number of injections is based on tree diameter, with an injection for every two inches (2") of diameter. 1.1.3. Injections are to be made around the entire circumference of the base of each ash tree. 1.1.4. The City of Manchester’s Urban Forester must approve the injection schedule before the work begins. 1.1.5. Subcontractors are not preferred, but if deemed necessary, a list of subcontractors must be submitted fifteen (15) days before treatment. The trunk injections are to be performed during proper weather and temperature conditions necessary for optimal tree uptake of the insecticide between the dates of June 1 and August 31, 2023.
