Specifications include, but are not limited to: CONSTRUCTION PHASING AND ACCESS Locations for sidewalk and pavement removal, and concrete replacement will be determined in the field with coordination between the Contractor and the Project Manager. Sidewalk and curb ramps must be poured back within three (3) working days after removal, unless granted additional time by the Project Manager. Work shall be phased to allow for pedestrian access on one side of Centennial Mall at all times. The Contractor shall not be allowed to have any portion of the sidewalk closed, or any lane closures in place, during any of the UNL home football games. Any restrictions to access shall be coordinated with the City’s Project Manager. Access for emergency vehicles shall be maintained at all times. The Contractor shall notify all businesses and property owners a minimum of 7-days in advance of any street closures or changes in access to their properties during the work on this project. The Contractor shall minimize their construction area so that disruption to pedestrians and existing vegetation and/or landscaping in the park space area will be held to a minimum. The Contractor will be responsible to backfill disturbed areas with suitable topsoil in accordance with City specifications. Concrete rubble and construction debris placed within public right-of-way must be removed prior to the completion of the Contractor's activities daily. Any rubble and debris allowed to remain in the public right-of-way for greater than 24 hours may be removed by the City at the Contractor’s expense.
