Specifications include, but are not limited to: This agreement is to seek design services for the completion of the Skagway Klondike Highway Rehabilitation project. The contractor will provide Design services including road design, modifications to the horizontal and vertical alignments, Analysis and design of traffic control measures, design of erosion and sediment control measures and narrative, utilities, and geotechnical. Assistance will be provided for the completion of the environmental document, and the public involvement process. Expected services include civil design, geotechnical, environmental, traffic, and utility. Skagway is a community located at the North end of Southeast Alaska. A population of approximately 1,240 live within the municipality limits. The Skagway River Bridge (Br. 308) forms part of the Klondike Highway and is located approximately 0.4 miles North East of the Skagway airport. The community is accessible by plane, ferry, and road. The DEPARTMENT is planning to rehabilitate pavement along the Skagway Highway from Mile Post 1.75 to the Canadian border. The project will include work as limited by a Resurface, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (3R) project and includes, and is not limited to: Pavement Design Drainage Design Services Guardrail Replacement Roadway Geometry and 3R Analysis Traffic and Accident analysis Identifying environmental concerns including hazardous substances Constructability and Traffic Phasing Slope and Embankment Stabilization
