Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Nevada Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs (NDTCA)/Nevada Division of Tourism (Travel Nevada) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a best-in-class firm to represent the State of Nevada as a travel destination to residents of Canada; This RFP seeks a best-in-class firm to represent the State of Nevada as a contractor to promote the State as a travel destination to residents of Canada in an effort to help achieve its mission, vision and goals as identified in the agency’s Strategic Plan. Travel Nevada seeks a representative firm with expertise in integrated marketing disciplines including sales, marketing, promotion, travel trade, and public relations. The awarded vendor will possess a strong understanding of the travel preferences of Canadians as well as Canada’s travel ecosystem. In addition, the awarded vendor must have a solid working relationship with travel agents, tour operators, wholesalers, OTAs, media organizations and airlines in country, and U.S. receptives that serve the market, as well as branches of the U.S. Commercial Services, Chambers of Commerce, and other international trade entities in key cities. The awarded vendor may also work with other State of Nevada agencies including the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) and Nevada’s statewide rural and urban partners who are actively engaged in promoting travel to the U.S. Travel Nevada’s awarded vendor will be the leader in creating a collaborative working environment between all entities. Market and promote Nevada as an aspirational tourism destination, in particular rural Nevada, among targeting markets through travel trade, media, and consumer initiatives. Raise awareness of Nevada tourism offerings to targeted Canadian audiences whose travel preferences align with Travel Nevada’s brand pillars. The Travel Nevada internal team will work with the awarded vendor to determine specific KPIs and goals to align with market nuances but is, in general, measured through an increase in the number of product offerings in travel agent/tour operator brochures, number of sales calls done per month, number of registrants for NV Trailblazer certification program, NV Trailblazer completion certification percentage and the amount of earned media coverage generated in top tier consumer and trade media. Boost awareness among consumers in targeted markets so that Nevada becomes a high demand destination. Awareness is measured through consumer engagement promotions, social media engagement, and earned media placement in top tier publications to be identified by each market.
