Specifications include, but are not limited to: LPSS seeks bids for E-rate eligible equipment, licenses, and support warranties. E-rate Knowledge The vendor shall have, at a minimum, a working knowledge of how the E-rate Program works and what it requires the Vendor to do. E-rate Registration The vendor shall submit with its proposal a valid Service Provider Identification Number (“SPIN”) and a valid Federal Communications Commission Registration Number (“FCCRN”). E-rate Participation The vendor agrees to participate in the E-rate Program and to cooperate fully and in all respects with LPSS, the Universal Service Administrative Company (“USAC”), the Federal Communications Commission, and any other agency or organization with a role, now or in the future, in administering the E-rate Program. The vendor’s cooperation is necessary to ensure that LPSS receives all of the E-rate funding for which it has applied and to which it is entitled in connection with the Vendor’s services and/or products. Recourse Against Vendor for Failure to Cooperate The vendor agrees that LPSS is unable to receive the funding for which it applied or is otherwise entitled to receive due to the Vendor not cooperating and/or providing requested documentation, the Vendor will be liable to LPSS for the amount that LPSS was unable to collect from USAC due to Vendor’s failure to cooperate and/or provide requested documentation. • Category 2-Internal connections to continue upgrading the Wi-Fi networking infrastructure in school sites over the next 36 to 60 months and purchase 5-year software licenses. • LPSS is also seeking 5-year software licenses and manufacturer support warranties for the new equipment and services. • This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to invite Vendors to submit information and proposal(s). Issuance of this RFP in no way constitutes a commitment by LPSS to select a Vendor and award a contract. LPSS reserves the right to accept or reject any proposals submitted. Acceptance of any proposal with contractual terms is dependent on the LPSS School Board approval, E-Rate funding, and appropriation of funds by the District. • It is the goal of LPSS to provide all schools with campus-wide wireless and wired local area network and highspeed Internet access to all students, faculty, and stakeholders. As a strategy to this goal, the District will continue to maintain and upgrade internal connections (connections include, but are not limited to, caching servers, routers, switches, access points, wiring, and related components, and uninterruptible power supplies) to facilitate data transport to all schools and administrative offices.
