Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) is seeking Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified consulting firms specializing in airport baggage handling systems (BHS). The services requested may include but are not limited to Assessments, Studies, Programming, Preliminary Design, Design, Estimation, Bid Phase Services, Construction Administration, and Construction Inspection/Technical Observation associated with the BHS at Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD). This project is to first assess the condition of the existing baggage handling system and to determine equipment/component obsolescence, opportunities for system upgrades, potential for Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) recapitalization and any additional recommended modifications or upgrades that may be prudent to accomplish during a system modification. The deliverable for this task will consist of an electronic copy (PDF) and three (3) printed and bound copies of the Condition Assessment Report. The report shall include, but not be limited to, identify current system performance levels, suggest operational processes / procedures to enhance performance, identify short term, medium term and long term fixes that would help the system work more effectively, and develop a priority list along with estimated costs. Subsequent to the condition assessment, additional services may include follow-on Studies, Programming, Preliminary Design, Design, Estimation, Bid Phase Services, Construction Administration, and Construction Inspection/Technical Observation.
