Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Design, develop, and implement a new website and Content Management System (CMS) system. B. Greatly improve discovery and access to City information, resources, services and programs content via internal search and external search engine optimization. The City is currently using a Chatbot and would be open to recommendations. C. Provide a seamless and integrated experience that provides access to content and resources via a single, easy-to-use City-branded online environment. D. Create a UX that is flexible to the end user’s device context, be it desktop, laptop, tablet, or any other mobile device including browser adaptability to key browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc. E. Design a user-centric and easily updateable solution for providing online help for the City’s digital resources. F. Create a UX that supports the needs of residents and other end users who require accessibility tools to use the site. Incorporate the fundamentals of Universal Design, as well as align the new design with WC3 Priority 1 Accessibility Guidelines and Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act to provide optimal accessibility to end users. G. Enable comprehensive translation services for all website content, Spanish in particular. H. Align City branding strategy with a clean, elegant, user-centric design. I. Enable updating the look and feel of the website on an as-needed basis by existing City staff. J. The website should be hosted in AWS (built on AWS Lightsail as a Plesk instance). Wordpress as development tool is preferred.
