Specifications include, but are not limited to: Purpose of Request: A. The City of Lansing is requesting proposals for a combined light and pyrotechnic fireworks show, choreographed to music for display at the Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 1, 2023. The Fireworks Display is scheduled for dusk (approximately 10:00 p.m.). The Fireworks Display is planned to take place at Bernard Park, 15650 Gilman Road, Lansing, Kansas, 66043, however the location may be moved to Towne Centre at the intersection of W. Mary St. and Centre Drive if the council chooses. This decision may not occur until Spring of 2023. i. The fireworks show must be a minimum of 20 minutes, with a minimum of 2000 shells, and include a grand finale. Historically we have used shells up to and including 10”. This show must have a patriotic theme (at least 75% patriotic music, closing with patriotic music) and approved by the City of Lansing. ii. A rain date will not be scheduled for this event.
