Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: IDOC recently found out that our Dish Network Satellite services for our South Boise Complex through our thirdparty provider was being terminated. Dish Network recently changed their policies, and IDOC’s third-party provider is no longer in full compliance with Dish Network policy as it was set up as a Private / Public account. Dish terminated their services as it needs to be moved to a Bulk account and the current third-party cannot provide this type of service. Dish Network informed IDOC that we need to move to Bulk Accounts to be compliance with their provisioning policies. IDOC's equipment needs to be updated to be fully functional with the Bulk services. DOC is needing maintenance upgrades to their DISH Satellite Equipment and Services, as IDOC is unable to keep the resident TV system running throughout the complex. Current receivers and services is through DISH, and we need to have the same equipment throughout our South Boise Complex in a centralized location for continuity; The Idaho Department of Corrections has requested an exemption from competition for the purchase of DISH Satellite Equipment and Services. If approved, an exemption from competition may allow the agency to procure the property with limited or no competitive process. Exemption from competition is at the discretion of the DOP Administrator. In the interest of transparency, DOP is offering suppliers the opportunity to review this requested exemption and provide relevant information. The decision remains discretionary, and suppliers have no right to appeal the Administrator’s decision.
