Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from qualified contractors to purchase and deliver two (2) 40-cubic yard (CY) closed-top Solid Waste Roll-Off Containers. Container requirements are as follows: a. 40-cubic yard heavy duty roll-off container with solid tops and doors. b. The containers must come with a hook for a Swivel Cable end. c. Containers must be, cleaned of all scale, rust, oil, dirt or other material prior to sandblasting and painting. Paint application must be applied in dry, warm, dust free area. All exterior and interior metal surfaces shall receive a prime coat prior to application of finish coat of paint. All exterior metal surfaces shall have two coats of Rustoleum, color #2 208120 Forest Green paint, or equal. All interior surfaces shall have one coat of paint with the exception of the floor, which does not require finish paint. d. Attachment #1 are 5 pictures of an existing 40-cubic yard container as an example. e. Attachment #2 is a plan set for the container and it’s top. f. The only addition from the photo’s is that the top door (4 Ea) will be split (8 Ea) to make each door easier to open and close. The additional doors will require an additional door latch on the side and one in the middle as shown on the plans.
