Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Resinous flooring and base as well as accessories including edging, transitions, metal termination strips between flooring materials, primers, adhesives, moisture test kits, and other miscellaneous items. 2. Test slab moisture content, pH, and vapor testing per Specification and manufacturer's recommendations (minimum of both calcium chloride and relative humidity test) prior to the start of the Work. Submit documentation to the Owner. 3. Verify substrates are acceptable for installation of material including surface conditions, compatibility with existing finishes, and bonding prior to the start of the Work. Confirm flatness of sub surfaces and slopes to drains before beginning the installation of flooring. 4. Clean concrete floor (including mopping, buffing, sanding, and bead blasting for acceptable 5. substrate) prior to installation of all types of flooring. 6. Floor preparation, including trowelable underlayment and patching compounds, at variations less than one quarter inch ( 1/4 "). Floor preparation includes concrete joints, repair of chips or dings, and deviations in elevation outside the specified levels. Work also includes transitions between rooms, doorways, and transitions from new to existing. 7. Unless noted otherwise, at doorways, center seams and floor transitions shall be placed under the door when in the closed position. 8. Dust control and protection of other materials during grinding/bead blasting activities. 9. Block-outs in flooring system for others. 10. Neutral coloring floor base and chips included 11. All work and materials performed under this contract shall be guaranteed for a period of one (1) year from date of acceptance by School District. 12. The Contractor will be responsible for all damage to the existing building(s) and their contents within the area of work.
