Specifications include, but are not limited to: Work to be performed under this project includes full depth reconstruction of VT Route 17, realignment and reconstruction of intersections of town highway #22 (East Street) and #18 (Sawyer Road) with VT Route; : Beginning in the Town of New Haven on VT Route 17 at STA 104+50.00 (MM 6.24) extending easterly 1775 feet (0.336 miles) to STA 122+25.00 (MM 6.58). As indicated in the plans, there are areas of underground utilities that may require additional locating beyond normal dig safe measures. The Contractor is advised that exploratory excavation to locate existing underground facilities may be necessary to protect these facilities from damage. Where approved by the Engineer, these utilities shall be located and/or exposed by methods such as air/vacuum excavation and/or hand digging to determine their exact location. This exploratory work shall be classified as Trench Excavation of Earth, Exploratory and payment shall be through Pay Item 204.22, Trench Excavation of Earth, Exploratory. Employees or agents of the above listed companies are to be allowed free and full access within the project limits with the tools, materials, and equipment necessary to install, operate, maintain, place, replace, relocate, and remove their facilities. 17 and other highway related items.
