Specifications include, but are not limited to: This bid is for a contracted vendor to complete the cleaning and pick-up of refuse and debris from town-provided refuse containers and grounds located on the Town Beach, all beach-related property and parking lots, as well as select receptacles located throughout the center of Town. The Town Beach area starts at the southern end of the seawall and runs north approximately ½ mile to a point beyond the North Beach Cabanas, also included are the Canonchet Farm and the lower West Lot adjacent to the beach on the northern side of Route 1A. A Cleaning will consist of removing all debris that has collected on beach and park property. Approximately one hundred (100) waste carts/barrels with HD plastic liners (liners will be supplied by the town and are to be replaced by the contractor daily) located directly on the beach, in the parking areas and surrounding seawall property, as well as approximately twenty (20) additional barrels located in the center of Town, inclusive of the following specific locations: Center of Town Number of Barrels Seawall along Ocean Road 12 Veteran’s Park 2 Gazebo Park 6 This includes removing all loose debris/litter including cigarette butts from the beach grounds surrounding both North and South Pavilion, cabanas, North Beach Club House, grassy area at the seawall, West Lot, South Lot, North lot, Cabana Lot, and the grass areas in both Gazebo and Veterans Park. The barrels located in the center of Town will require that all debris in a twenty-five (25) foot perimeter around each barrel be picked up. B. The contractor will be responsible to empty up to sixteen (16) 65-gallon rolling waste carts or barrels with HD plastic bag liners in and around both south and north pavilions. Liners will be supplied by the town and are to be replaced by the contractor daily. C Pickup and removal are to be completed daily (seven days a week) prior to 8:00 a.m. regardless of weather conditions. Exceptions to this rule can only be granted by the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee in the case of extreme conditions. Any vehicles used on the beach must use caution and use reasonable discretion in not making tire tracks that may disturb beach goers or cause other beach related safety concerns. Contractor is not to operate vehicle(s) on or across the ADA accessible beach PathMats located on the beach.
