Specifications include, but are not limited to: The LVCVA’s Customer Safety department is seeking a qualified, experienced consultant who can provide services, that include but are not limited to: Review existing departmental policies and provide recommendations on the content of existing policies and opportunities for policy improvements. These policies include, but may not be limited to: a. Use of force b. De-escalation c. Custody and handcuffing d. Incident reporting e. Post-use of force incident review and investigation f. Major incident notification g. Issuance of trespass notices h. Response to citizen activists i. Crowd control Review the departmental training program and provide recommendations on the condition of the existing training programs. Review departmental officer protective gear and equipment outfitting and provide recommendations on the adequacy of the existing officer protective gear and equipment, and opportunities for officer protective gear and equipment improvements.
