Specifications include, but are not limited to: JCCC’s Audit and Advisory Services (AAS) provides internal audit services to JCCC departments and serves as an independent appraisal function for management. AAS is designed to add value and improve JCCC’s operations by utilizing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve risk management, internal control, and governance processes. The College intends to contract for audit co-sourcing services. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, supplies, materials, and equipment to properly perform operational audit services. All work shall be performed under the supervision of JCCC’s Director, Audit & Advisory Services. While remote work is acceptable, it is anticipated that some on-site work may be required for client meetings, presentations, etc. Preference may be given to a contractor as evidenced by a local office presence and the ability to be physically onsite at JCCC within two (2) hours’ notice. The work shall include, but is not limited to the following: A. Assist with internal audit planning B. Risk assessments/Risk management C. Preparing audit programs D. Participating in or leading meetings with clients/stakeholders E. Document requests F. Completing audit working papers by documenting all stages of work G. Propose and help implement improvements to internal audit processes based on relevant best practices H. Utilization of the Contractor’s audit software as a benefit to using a co-sourced provider I. Allocate sufficient, skilled resources to deliver audit engagements within the allocated time budget with the ability to travel to Overland Park, KS, if necessary J. Ability to perform the following types of audits: 1. Compliance audits 2. Information Technology (IT) 3. Internal control audits 4. Forensic audits
