Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Board of Trustees (Board) for the Mississippi State Agencies Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation Trust (Trust) seeks a qualified, experienced third party administrator (TPA) for administration for its self-insured workers’ compensation program. The primary function of the selected vendor will be the prompt and accurate adjudication of workers’ compensation claims filed by participating member agencies and/or their employees. These TPA services will include claims investigations, compensability determinations, claims and expense payments, litigation management, medical case management, and overall management of claim files to include completion and timely filing of reports required by the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission, as well as statistical and management reports to the Board. The selected TPA will also be required to provide safety/risk control services, at the Board’s discretion. The State reserves the right to unbundle specific elements of service associated with State workers’ compensation claims. These can include, but are not limited to medical case management, bill review, cost containment, utilization review, and pharmacy benefit management.
