Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. SCOPE AND BACKGROUND: Through this Request for Proposal (RFP) the Department of Mental Health (DMH, hereinafter the “State”) is seeking to establish contracts with one or more individuals or companies that can provide one or more physician and psychiatry services outlined below, supporting aspects of the mental health system of care including the two state-run facilities, Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital (VPCH) in Berlin, VT, and River Valley Therapeutic Residence (RVTR) in Essex, VT. 1.1.1. RFP OBJECTIVE: The purpose of the RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified individuals or companies to provide physician and psychiatric services for DMH and its programs. The scope of work described in this RFP has six key elements that can be combined or bid on separately: (1) VPCH Executive Medical Officer; (2) Patient Care Providers for 24/7 psychiatry coverage; (3) Primary Care Medical Services at VPCH; (4) RVTR Psychiatry; (5) Children, Adolescent, and Family Unit (CAFU) Medical Director; and (6) Telepsychiatry services for second certifications to support emergency departments.
