Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Narragansett is seeking bids for the three (3) chemicals listed below, used at and delivered to the Scarborough Wastewater Treatment Facility, 990 Ocean Road, Narragansett. Delivery costs to the noted address are to be included in the bid price. Delivery must be between the hours of 7:00 AM and 2:30 PM (M-F), with no exceptions. All deliveries must be made to our plant within seven (7) days, after receipt of order. ANY exceptions to this timeframe must be approved by the Town. This bid is for the following chemicals: 1. Potassium Permanganate 2. Sodium Bisulfite 3. Sodium Hypochlorite 1. Potassium Permanganate (free flowing grade – see supplemental specifications following this section) – To be delivered in 55-pound plastic containers. Approximate yearly usage: 4,000 pounds. Price shall be per pound. 2. Sodium Bisulfite – 38% solution; 2,500 gallon storage tank is available. Approximate yearly usage: 6,000 – 10,000 gallons. Price shall be per gallon. 3. Sodium Hypochlorite – 12% -15% solution; 2500 gallon tank is available for storage. Approximate yearly usage: 6,000 – 10,000 gallons. Price shall be per gallon.
