Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Reno will contract a consultant to facilitate, advice, and guide the organization in establishing and implementing a sustainable equity plan for 4 years. Tasks are as followed: Engage the community to receive feedback and better understand gaps and barriers. o Substantive community and stakeholder outreach and engagement Develop an equity strategy related to guide City policies, initiatives, outreach, and public engagement. Develop an equity plan that incorporates best practices, equity policy guide, tools, and a sustainable framework that can be implemented throughout the City. Developing a potentially long-term, deeper working relationship that will provide opportunities to work together across other projects as we increase our commitment to equity in our work going forward. Active collaboration with staff across all levels/departments. Develop an equitable metrics design to measure DEI efforts. How long the plan will last and flexibility (4 years)
