Specifications include, but are not limited to: n 2011, a Recreation Master Plan Chapter was adopted by the City of Rochester. The Consultant will revise and update this chapter to reflect current data and conditions. The Recreation Master Plan Chapter serves as a road map for the sustainable and planned development of the recreation department. Updates to the Recreation Master Plan Chapter will include the following scope ofwork:a.Review existing recreational facilities, programs, and resources, both public and private, within the City of Rochester. Work with City Staff to get local perspective and input to identify areas that need improvement, identify gaps in services and facilities.b. Assess the City of Rochester’scurrent recreation services and facilities based onNational Recreation and Parks Association data for similar communities.c.Review current department full time and seasonal staffing structure and createrecommendations based on regional and national recreation staffing trends andprojections.d.Review departmental annual operating funding, fee structures and marketing strategies and make recommendations .e.Explore public and private partnerships with area agencies to offer needed services in synergy with one another. Identify opportunities for the Department of Recreation &Arena to collaborate and resource share with such organizations to offer and promote a wider range of services and programs.
