Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work for this project is expected to include: demolition of the existing court fencing and tennis nets, full-depth removal of the court surface, pavement, and subbase refurbishment or replacement of the court subbase, reestablishing grade of the courts, installation of new asphalt pavement, installation of new fencing, gates, and tennis nets, court surfacing and line painting. The existing courts are approximately 11,616 sf (121’ x 96’) and consist of two standard 36’x78’ tennis courts with a 6-foot use zone surrounding each court and a short additional apron of pavement around the existing fencing. The fencing around the courts is 10’ feet tall and has a 4’ W entrance at the northwest corner and a double gated 8’ W entrance at the southwest corner. The courts were initially graded on a continuous slope to the south, but have heaved and cracked creating puddles. Reconstruction will include regrading the courts to drain to the south and east. The scope of work is divided into a base bid and one deduct alternate to reuse the existing vinyl fence mesh. Expected tasks to be completed for each are as follows:
