Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Demolition and disposal of current decking materials and structure. B. New deck construction using ACQ pressure treated lumber and decking. C. All attachment hardware will be by ACQ rated screws of proper size. D. No existing deck materials shall be re-used for new construction. E. Deck size will remain the same as existing, using the following specifications: a. Single level deck to be level with shelter house door. (higher than existing) 1. This will include removing the concrete ramp to the door and all surrounding concrete with the exception of what is needed for the pillars to the canopy extending over the back door. 2. The condition of the concrete base for the pillars is unknown. This may require new footings to be poured. b. Deck railings should be 2” x 2” vertical pickets. c. Built in bench seating locations to remain the same as existing. d. Stairs on East end of deck to be built back as existing. e. ADA compliant ramps are to be built on north and south sides of deck to connect with concrete sidewalks leading to the front of the shelter. 1. Sidewalks will be poured by SCP+R vendor during same time frame as deck construction and are not to be included in the scope for this bid. f. Fascia front of deck to be covered in one inch (1”) material.
