Specifications include, but are not limited to: Unalaska Public Library, hereafter referred to as Applicant, is requesting proposals for internet service. Service is expected to terminate at Unalaska Public Library, 64 Eleanor St, Unalaska, AK 99685. The new service is being planned to begin on July 1, 2023 which represents the expiration of the current service. 1. Applicant is seeking proposals for a dedicated managed internet service, or equivalent. a. Dedicated internet service, or equivalent: minimum acceptable speeds of 10Mbps download and 10Mbps upload with a service level agreement for minimum downtime, mean time for repairs, and latency. b. Minimum of five (5) public static IP addresses. c. Itemize any and all additional costs to the library for providing the services listed in paragraphs 1a and 1b to the Unalaska Public Library facility (server room), if any; 2. Vendor must provide additional service options for increased bandwidth of up to 200Mbps download (both synchronous and asynchronous services are acceptable), and to list discounts available for multi-year contraction options (e.g. 2, 3 & 5 yrs.), including annual renewal dates. 3. Cost of eligible services must be separated from cost of ineligible services in the bid. 4. Any contracts should contain the language that the agreement is contingent upon state and/or federal funding, which affects the library’s ability to pay. We would like a provision for increasing or decreasing service levels and/or costs, dependent upon available state and federal funding. 5. The method of transport delivery (fiber optic, copper, satellite, microwave, etc.) should be specified in the bid. If last mile and middle mile differ, both methods of delivery should be specified in the bid. 6. Successful bidders must be willing to provide discounted billing and invoice USAC via a Service Provider Invoice (SPI). 7. Proposals must include a clear and direct process for trouble reporting and expected response times.
