Specifications include, but are not limited to: KDHE is seeking a qualified contractor or contractors to provide federal and state inspection “surveys” of acute and continuing care provider/suppliers, technical assistance related to the oversight of facilities undergoing new construction and or renovation, onsite program consultative services, and quality assurance reviews to ensure documentation of Conditions of Participation (CoP) and/or Conditions for Coverage (CfC) are met in order for providers/suppliers to begin and continue participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Federal inspection “surveys” of healthcare facilities shall be performed in accordance with the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations and the rules and regulations promulgated by CMS and as identified by KDHE. Inspection surveys include certification and complaint surveys for all CMS ACC providers/suppliers. The successful contractor(s) shall conduct onsite, objective, and outcome-based surveys (inspections) to assure that basic standards of quality are being met in accordance with all health and safety standards (Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and Conditions for Coverage (CfCs)) that health care organizations must meet to begin and continue participating in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
