Specifications include, but are not limited to: Central Vermont Supervisory Union (CVSU) is requesting bids for an HVAC upgrade at the Washington Village School. The scope of work includes: ● Replacement of all the classroom ventilation systems with roof mounted energy recovery units. This will include ductwork modifications as well as new gas piping. ● Replacement of existing oil fired boilers with new right sized high efficiency boilers. This includes boiler room piping modifications and new gas piping. ● Addition of perimeter fin-tube radiation in areas where replacement of the ventilation systems required supplemental heat. ● Replacement and addition of cabinet unit heaters. ● Replacement of existing roof mounted exhaust fans. ● Upgrading the current stand alone controls to a centralized DDC building management system which will tie into CVSU’s current Automated Logic DDC platform. ● Add Alternate #1 – Classroom Fan Filter units, designed to increase the classroom air changes per hour (ACH) to 6 ACH ● Add Alternate #2 – Office split system air conditioning in the main office area ● Testing and Balancing to be carried by the mechanical contractor; PRE-QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: 1. An established firm that can demonstrate a clear and stable organizational structure. 2. Hold certifications, licenses (in the state of VT) and/or registrations appropriate to the work to be performed. 3. Demonstrated experience or expertise with K-12 or institutional related projects of similar scope and size. 4. Sufficient financial capacity, including the ability to secure performance and payment bonds for contracts $500,000 or more.
