Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company (WT), the construction manager, is accepting Pre-Qualification submissions for the Burlington High School & Technical Center Project located in Burlington, VT. The new school is approximately 250,000 SF spread out over 4 levels, and will be built on the same site as the existing high school. The footprint of the new construction overlaps the existing BHS footprint, thus requiring coordination of construction activities with owner's remediation/demolition contractors due to PCBs, asbestos and urban soils present in the existing buildings and surrounding site. The project will kick-off in January 2023, with owner driven demolition/abatement and follow with early release packages such as structural, sitework, and roofing. Construction will begin the spring/summer of 2023. Substantial completion in 2025.
