Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Indy Food Fund seeks to catalyze this change by offering contracts ranging from $500 to $10,000 to nonprofits and for-profits for innovative and collaborative solutions that further the above stated goals. Projects must be implemented during the 2023 calendar year. These projects can include, but are not limited to, community gardens and urban farms, farmer’s markets, market and farm stands, value chain projects, healthy food and nutrition programs, healthy corner stores and local grocery store initiatives. The anticipated breakdown of funding for selected proposals is below. ➢ Food Economy and Entrepreneurship (including Small Local Grocers) - Businesses funded @up to $10,000 each. ➢ Urban Farm and Community Garden Sustainability - Organizations funded @ up to $5,000 each. ➢ Innovative Grassroots / Community Collaborations - Up to $2,500 in matching funds per collaborator.
