Specifications include, but are not limited to:The City of Santa Fe (The City), Public Utilities Department, is seeking bids through and Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Cationic Polymer Emulsions. These chemicals have unique physical properties, such as molecular weight, electrostatic charge, viscosity, density, etc., which make them well suited to assisting in the dewatering of the unique sludge generated at the Paseo Real Wastewater Reclamation Facility (PRWRF). The City of Santa Fe under NMSA 1978 13-1-33 is requiring Brand Name Specifications. NOTE: no substitute or/equals specifications will be considered. 1. ITEM DESCRIPTION 1.1 The two cationic polymers for procurement are: (DAFT) Dissolved Air Floatation Thickener - Praestol K 260 FL Flocculant Belt Filter Presses - Praestol K 290 FLX Flocculant 1.2 Minimum product storage life, once the Polymer(s) is received, shall be 3 months. 1.3 The polymer(s) shall be supplied directly by manufacturer engaged in the production and supply of this type of product or their representative. The manufacturer shall be ISO 9002 compliant. Documentation showing the manufacturer is compliant shall be submitted with the bid package. 1.4 The manufacturer must offer technical assistance when requested by the City of Santa Fe on their product. 1.5 Bid shall be for a one-year supply with the ability to renew the contract for up to an additional 3 years. Product cost shall be presented as per pound of product delivered to the site. The estimated annual consumption is: Praestol K 260 FL Flocculant – 56,250 pounds per year Praestol K 290 FLX Flocculant – 57,500 pounds per year The above amounts could change based on the need of the City and are not a guaranteed amount.
