Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 Awarded Vendors shall perform work according to the City of Lincoln Standard Specifications for Municipal Construction, unless specifically required by the department to follow another guideline which takes precedence. 3.1.1 Exclusions include liquidated damages unless otherwise addressed with the Contract Administrator. 3.2 Vendor shall be responsible for acquiring and paying for all permits, fees and licenses associated with the work to be done according to the Unit Price Quote Sheet. 3.2.1 Permit, fees, and license costs shall be added to the Unit Price Quote Sheet prior to approval by the Owners. 3.3 Contracted Vendors for this service will be notified via email or phone by the Owners Construction Administrator. 3.3.1 Vendor has 48 hours to respond via email or phone to the request for a Unit Price Quote by the Owner to schedule a day and time to view the job. 3.3.1.1 Failure to reply to a Quote request within 48 hours will allow the Owner to select from the respondents who did reply. 3.3.1.2 Vendors who do not submit quotes or complete work as scheduled and required may be subject to a Vendor Performance Meeting to discuss the situation and develop a strategy for compliance in the future. 3.3.2 Vendors may be asked to make repairs immediately upon request of a quote and completion of a Unit Price Quote Sheet due to a system leak or other event that causes a risk to public safety. 3.4 The Owners are requesting that all Unit Price Contractors be available to perform services during unforeseen emergency situations such as natural or man-made disasters. 3.4.1 Vendors shall indicate in the Attribute section if they are willing to be available for these emergency services, and if so, at what rates. 3.5 Hourly rates included in the bid Line Items and Unit Price Quote Sheets shall include mobilization of equipment and all other factors as listed in the Line Items. 3.6 Vendor must be an experienced irrigation contractor who has performed irrigation repairs and maintenance services similar in material, design and extent to what is described in the bid documents. 3.7 Vendor shall indicate in the Attribute section of the eBid the types and brands of irrigation systems they are experienced and certified in either through installation or repair. 3.8 Vendor must have a broad knowledge of products and applications that could be used in an irrigation design. 3.9 Vendor must supply necessary and proper tools and equipment needed to perform required irrigation installation, maintenance, and repair services. 3.10 The Owners prefer to hire companies which have employees who are Certified Irrigation Designers for commercial, residential and golf course systems. 3.11 The Owners prefer to hire installers who are Certified Irrigation Contractors for all types of systems. 3.12 Vendors will be called for repair and maintenance on brands such as Hunter, Rainbird, and Toro systems.
