Trailer Requirement: ____ 1.1 Overall width shall be 102” inches ____ 1.2 Deck length shall be planked with two (2”) inch thick oak or approved equal material. ____ 1.3 Dove tail shall be minimum of five feet (5’) in length, and have a loading angle of maximum of 11° degrees or approved equal, planked with two inch (2”) thick oak or approved equal material. ____ 1.4 Loading ramps shall be bi-folding type with a minimum of thirty-three (33”) inches wide or full width ramps with a maximum loading angle of 11° degrees or approved equal. Ramps deploy and retract shall be designed with hands free operation type, air powered or self-contained electric over hydraulic. Ramp deck planked with two inches (2”) thick oak or approved equal material. Ramps must be designed to accommodate 4-5” uneven loading surface. ____ 1.5 Ramp height from the ground when in travel position does not exceed maximum height of one hundred and two inches (102”). ____ 1.6 Deck height (measured from ground to deck surface), shall be as low as possible, maximum of thirty-nine inches (39”) or approved equal. five inches or approved equal. 1.7 Coupler SAE two (2”) inch Kingpin 1.8 Under normal travel conditions the rear bumper ride height clearance shall have a minimum twelve and one-half inches (12 1/2”) from ground, or approved industry standard. 2. Deck and Frame Requirement: ____ 2.1 The main frame and tongue shall be 16” inch minimum Hi-Tensile Wide Flange I Beam ____ 2.2 The side rail shall be 8” inches minimum Hi-Tensile Channel or approved equal. ____ 2.3 The cross members shall be 4” inch minimum Hi-Tensile Wide Flange Channel or approved equal. ____ 2.4 Deck shall have D-Rings thirty-six (36”) inches on center both sides, positioned on outside rail for load fastening. ____ 2.5 The deck plate over the wheels shall have a minimum of 3/16” inch diamond plate steel. ____ 2.6 Trailer shall have a Dual Heavy Duty 2-speed screw type deck mounted parking jacks (Holland Mark V Dual preferred or approved equal). ____ 2.7 Ramp control valve shall be positioned on the right or left side at the rear of the trailer. ____ 2.8 Round weatherproof registration holder provided. 3. Lights and Wiring Requirement: 3.1 Exterior lighting to include marker lamps, stop and turn signals license plate light and bracket, all lights must be rubber mounted LED. Exterior lights must conform to ICC wiring and have stop/taillights independent of directional lights (see wiring diagram attached for details). 3.2 All wire splices shall be either soldered or barrel connected and covered with automotive type shrink tubing (Scotch type wire connections and / or electrical tape are not acceptable in any application). ____ 3.3 Trailer lighting and wiring shall meet DOT and ICC code(s). 4. Axles, Brakes and Suspension Requirement: ____ 4.1 Trailer shall have axles with a minimum capacity of 25’000 lbs. pounds each. ____ 4.2 Air brakes on all axles (Spring/Maxi brakes on rear axle) with ASA & ABS ____ 4.3 Each wheel shall have oil bath bearings with sealed hubs with visible oil supply. ____ 4.4 Axle spacing, center of hub to center of hub is 49” or approve equal. ____ 4.5 Trailer shall have mud flaps with anti-sail support brackets. ____ 4.6 Shall have Haldex automatic slack adjusters or approved equal. ____ 4.7 Shall have outboard brake drums with hub-piloted system. ____ 4.8 Shall have ABS brakes. 5. Tire and Wheel Requirement: ____ 5.1 Trailer shall be equipped with load range H tires or approved equal. ____ 5.2 Tires shall be Bridgestone, Michelin, Copper preferred or approved equal. ____ 5.3 Heavy duty 4 hand hole hub piloted wheel system or approved equal. ____ 5.4 Trailer wheels shall be steel, one-piece heavy duty tubeless, hub-piloted design (Accuride wheels #28656 preferred) with baked on white paint or approved equal. ____ 5.5 Trailer shall come with spare tire and wheel to match. (Spare shall be delivered with trailer. No tire carrier required.
