Specifications include, but are not limited to: The STATE OF MONTANA, Department of Public Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Division (BHDD), (hereinafter referred to as “the State”) is seeking contractor(s) to provide strategic proposals to address the critical need for crisis diversion in Montana communities through funding requirements of the Crisis Diversion Grants program, formally known as the County and Tribal Matching Grant program. Trainings to support the development of a behavioral health workforce, community response to behavioral health needs, integrated behavioral health, and improved crisis services implementation and coordination. Responsible for establishing an effective Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). The Team Lead will focus on building across-department and community partnerships that utilize technologies, systems, and protocols that enable the organization to seamlessly operate during all stages of a crisis. The Team Lead will: (1) Serve as the primary contact for community’s CIT program; (2) Foster multilevel interactions among the CIT community: stakeholders, committee, police, leadership, and City/County officials; (3) Advance working relationships with community partners and state organizations to promote and sustain the CIT program; (4) Provide continual leadership, training, and support to agencies with dedicated CIT coordinators; (5) Develop, implement, and review CIT policy and procedures; (6) Provide leadership for CIT Patrol officers; and (7) Teach the CIT 40 Hour Basic Training Academy and on-going CIT In-Service.
