Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Cumberland – Water Department (CWD) is seeking sealed Bids for the Grants Mill Bridge Crossing Water Main Replacement project. Work will include the installation of approximately 180’ of 10- inch DI pipe to replace the existing 10-inch water main on the Grants Mill Bridge. A. The Contractor shall submit shop drawings on all equipment and materials, structural details, piping layouts and all miscellaneous items to be incorporated into the Work. All shop drawings shall be submitted using the transmittal form furnished by the Engineer. B. Such drawings shall be project-specific and shall show the principal dimensions, weight, structural and operating features, space required, clearances, type and/or brand of finish or shop coat, etc., depending on the subject of the drawing. When it is customary to do so, when the dimensions are of particular importance, or when so specified, the drawings shall be certified by the manufacturer or fabricator as correct for the Contract. C. When so specified or if considered, in advance, by the Engineer to be acceptable, manufacturer's specifications, catalog data, descriptive matter, illustrations, etc., may be submitted in place of shop and working drawings. D. The Contractor shall be responsible for the prompt and timely submittal of all shop and working drawings so that there shall be no delay to the Work due to the absence of such drawings. Prior to the submittal of any shop drawings, the Contractor shall submit a schedule of proposed shop drawing transmittals. The schedule shall identify the subject matter of each transmittal, the corresponding specification section number and the proposed date of submission. During the progress of the Work the schedule shall be revised and resubmitted as necessary. E. The Contractor shall review shop drawings and product data, including those by subcontractors, prior to submission to determine and verify the following: 1. Field measurements 2. Field construction criteria 3. Catalog numbers and similar data 4. Conformance with the Specifications
