Specifications include, but are not limited to: In accordance with Indiana statute, including IC 5-22-7.3, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) requires one or more vendors to provide safety footwear. It is the intent of INDOT to solicit responses to this bid in accordance with the special provisions and specifications contained in this document and to pre-qualify vendors that can meet the department’s needs. 1) Protective footwear shall be hard-toe, hard-soled, boots that cover the ankle (minimum 5-inch height) and meet the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) F2413 requirements. Approval must be found on the boot. Specifically excluded are tennis, fabric, or similar shoes.
