Specifications include, but are not limited to: All concrete work performed in the public right of way or on town property shall meet the minimum SCDOT standards unless otherwise specified. Standards shall be referenced in the latest version of SCDOT’s Standard Specifications for Highway Construction unless otherwise specified. 1. Traffic Control: a. Maintain access for vehicular and pedestrian traffic as required for other construction activities, as specified under SCDOT Division 600. Utilize flagman, barricades, warning signs, and warning lights as required. b. The Contractor shall furnish and install all construction signs, pavement markings, barricades, and all other safety controls for the duration of each work area. The Contractor must notify the Project Manager if a lane closure is necessary and adhere to the minimum standards for traffic control as outlined in Part V of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways: https://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/. The Contractor shall conduct its work as to ensure the least possible obstruction of traffic and inconvenience to the general public.
