Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor will remove the existing condenser water cooling tower, stand, and associated piping to the indoor watercooled Trane Chiller. The contractor will also be required to remove all associated hangers and electrical circuitry associated with the tower and repair all building penetrations to the satisfaction of Ellis County. The two existing hot water cast iron sectional boilers shall be removed and disposed of, as well as the chilled/hot water circulating pumps, expansion tanks, system feed, and associated air separating apparatus if applicable. All refrigerant to be contained as per Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) containment guidelines for removal. All removed equipment (except the indoor water-cooled Trane Chiller) is to be vacated from the premises and becomes the property of the contractor. The indoor water-cooled Trane Chiller is to be carefully removed and will be returned to the owner in a functional condition for potential reuse. Removal of the old pad, update, or expand the outside area for the purpose of inserting pad for chiller and replacing xeriscaping existing product surrounding pad. All exposed existing pneumatic and digital controls to be removed in the LEC as part of the base bid. Concealed pneumatic control piping to be abandoned. Exposed temperature controllers/thermostats to be removed and replaced with a cover plate painted to match surrounded surfaces. Contractor to coordinate with Owner on pneumatic and digital controls to remain.
