Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs is establishing this contract for the inspection of all the fire sprinkler systems required by NFPA 25 Standard at the Kansas Veterans Home (KVH). This contract will include the quarterly, annual and five (5) year internal inspection and testing of the facility’s sprinkler systems. The price provided will be for inspection, testing and repairs as needed to wet and dry systems. The annual inspection shall be completed in October. The quarterly inspections shall be completed in January, April, and July. Any repairs or correction of deficiencies will be noted during the inspection and quote provided for any repairs. The KVH will need two (2) copies of all inspection reports and copies of the inspection reports sent to the local fire marshal. Inspections are to be performed per NFPA 25 standards for inspection, testing and maintaining of water-based fire protection systems. Contractor must have had a minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in testing and inspecting life safety systems and upon request show evidence of reliability, ability and experience. Contractor will carry general liability and property liability insurance per state standards and will be solely responsible for damage to property which may be caused by anyone in his employment executing the contract. Technicians should have at least fifteen (15) years’ experience in inspecting and testing procedures and possess a standard level of certification. Contractor to have three (3) references for agency to contact.
