Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this OT (Other) Phase study is to develop a stakeholder engagement and strategic plan for segments of the US 191 and MT 64 corridors. Linked below, MDT completed a corridor study in October, 2020 of US 191 from Four Corners to Beaver Creek Road (RP 81.90 to RP 45.30). Improvements recommended in the corridor study identify needs far greater than what current and projected funding levels can provide within a reasonable planning horizon. The previously completed corridor study will serve as a basis for evaluating the US 191 segment. However, there are no previously completed MDT studies on MT 64. The initial objective for this study is to develop a strategy for collaborating with stakeholders regarding identification of local needs including establishing project priorities and exploring funding opportunities. The second objective is to develop a strategic improvement plan to identify and prioritize technically feasible projects or improvements that focus on enhancing safety and operational issues within the context of preserving the character and nature of the corridors. Criteria to consider include, but are not limited to; current and future traffic patterns, operational issues, roadway characteristics and geometrics, safety considerations, previous studies, land ownership and usage patterns, bridge alternatives, environmental considerations, right-of-way and utility issues, and any other factors necessary to determine a preferred set of improvement alternatives
