Specifications include, but are not limited to: Coding Robots Multiple sensors and the ability to be coded through a web-based software by middle school students. Robots should have rechargeable batteries. Include multiple sensors which can be manipulated should at a minimum include LED lights, sound sensors, light sensors, and obstacle detectors. Must be compatible with both block-based coding and ability to use 2+ coding languages. The software that is used to code must be compatible with various 1:1 technologies schools will have access to, including, but not limited to: iPads, Chromebooks, Macs, Windows computers. Software should be based in block-based coding. Robots shall be durable, easily scaffolded to middle school instruction. If accessory packs are available they should be included in the bid request up to the line item budget for year two.
